Thinking of Tohoku 3.11

This is my great ground parent's by the sea in Tohoku. I went there with my parents sometimes when I was a child and I was very impressed the beautiful environment every time I visited. This house does not exist now as it was destroyed by Tsunami disaster 2 years ago.

Hi Kazuko, I saw this post a while ago and wanted to say I found it very moving, the more so because you drew something from memory which no longer exists. It's a lovely drawing, I can just imagine the farm.

Thank you very much for your comment, Tanja.
It was very beautiful place. As you can see in the picture, there was very high wall between their vegetable fields and the sea, because they had experienced a big Tsunami in the past. But this time, the wave was higher than the wall and it has washed out the villages. Luckily my relatives escaped and they saved their life, but our ancestors' objects and photos have disappeared.
