Etching

This is my new work by etching. I used zinc plate this time.
I've always forgot making mirror image when I transferred
my drawing to a plate, but I didn't forget today!
I found even simple drawing become unbalanced
if a image is reversed. I'm still struggling with tones,
and leaning little by little...

I agree with Jenny, your drawings are very happy! I showed my friend your blog and she said "Her drawings make me smile"!

I really like this image. By a strange coincidence, I'm actually doing a similar image at the moment with one person giving another person flowers, except mine is a squirrel giving flowers to a Barbie doll...

Etching is a very hard process for me, not only to draw in reverse, but to choose the right plate, the right amount and time in acid soaking, etc.. I gave up etching for almost 3 years, and maybe someday I'd like to get my hands on the plate again.

Hi Babalisme! Yes, it's long process and I'm still struggling with it. I've just started, so I'm learning every time. I'd like to see your etching!
